Description
Raman Spectroscopy is one of the ideal analytical techniques for qualitative analysis. It is flexibly useful both for organic and inorganic mixed materials in quantitative or semi-quantitative analysis. Raman is typically designed by illuminating the sample with laser beam and the electromagnetic excited radiation is collected and analysed through monochromator lens. Raman compliments Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) for failure analysis. Some applications include :
- materiel stress measurements
- Study changes in chemical bonding
- Characterization of carbon layers like diamonds
- Identification of organics and inorganics, particle identification etc.
